The last several months provided an opportunity for us to reassess our policies and our trips. As the world begins to reopen, we are focused on bringing you more off-the-beaten-path destinations, enhanced safety measures, better booking terms, and even lower prices.

Enhanced Safety Measures:
All of our tour operators have completed a thorough risk assessment and are following current World Health Organization or Centers for Disease Control safety guidelines and local protocols. This includes updated policies and procedures that all guides and travelers must follow to maintain safety before, during, and after Your trip. We continue to stay up-to-date on all of the local entry requirements and on the response efforts in every country where our trips operate.

Better Booking Terms:
As always, we’re hard at work negotiating for the best options for adventure travel. This includes more flexible booking options, extended cancellation policies, and more options to modify your trip if needed.* We’ve done an intensive review of our current trip offerings to ensure they offer you the best options for getting outside in the less crowded areas. We hand-select the most knowledgeable local operators to ensure quality and safety are of the utmost importance. Many of our trips allow you to travel in small groups and private departures are available if you want to travel in your own pack.

*As always, you can easily cancel with no fees and no questions asked within 72 hours of booking. Additional, cancellation options vary by trip. Please contact our Adventures Support team for specific questions about your trip.

We currently plan to operate most of our trips as planned. Some trips departing in the next 30-60 days may be impacted due to travel restrictions across the globe. We will notify our travelers if there are any required changes to your trip. If a tour operator is forced to cancel or postpone your trip due to unforeseen circumstances, you may have the option to reschedule your trip or receive store credit toward a future trip. Options presented will vary by the tour operator. Please contact our Adventures Support team to explore the options for your specific trip.

Travel is a personal choice and you will need to assess your own personal risks before proceeding with travel plans. We are continuously monitoring the latest guidance from the U.S. State Department, the CDC, the WHO and we are in constant contact with our in-country operators. We are also up-to-date on local entry requirements and response efforts in every country where our trips operate. All of our tour operators have completed a thorough risk assessment and have subsequently updated their policies and procedures. All guides and travelers are held to these policies and procedures to maintain safety before, during, and after your trip.

1. Travel advisories issued from the US State Department at https://travel.state.gov
2. Local government websites where you plan to travel and review the required documentation for entry, current restrictions, and general recommendations for travel within the area.
3. Your home country's embassy website if you are traveling to a foreign country. Requirements can change rapidly. Please be sure you stay abreast of the requirements and restrictions for anywhere you plan to visit
4. Enroll in the U.S. government’s Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) and you will be sent updates if the situation in your travel destination changes. You can find the program link at https://step.state.gov/

We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance for all trips. In fact, many destinations require trip insurance and international medical coverage. Travel insurance allows you to seek reimbursement if you are forced to cancel your trip for unforeseeable reasons, or if you need to cover medical help, emergency transport, and/or theft or accidental damage while traveling. We encourage you to evaluate all of your options for insurance coverage and consider adding an additional protection called Cancel for Any Reason. For travel insurance, we recommend Visitor's Coverage.

Travel is a personal choice. For those that choose to travel, many airlines are offering BIG savings right now and very flexible booking options that allow you to modify your reservation, should you need to, without any fees. Contact the airline provider to review current policies.

The operator will no longer be able to offer the trip if the local government advises against ALL but essential travel to a respective area. A comparable trip, a change of dates, or a store credit toward a future trip will be issued. Options presented will vary by the tour operator. We’ve worked with several of our adventure tour operators to create more flexible cancellation and modification options. Some operators will allow you to postpone your trip without penalty or fees; others offer vouchers so you can book now (and lock in the price) but travel on your preferred date when you're ready.
