Day 2
Bergen

This day will be spent exploring the city of Bergen. The Bergen-Pass (25 €) enables you to use public transportation and to visit most of the museums and attractions free of charge. You won't want to miss the memorable fish market and shrimp sandwiches, the colorful Hanseatic district, a selection of Bergen's many museums, and the views of Ulriken. You'll also have the opportunity to visit the classic fairytale stave church, Fantoft. If you're feeling adventurous, you can climb to the top of Ulriken Mountain and enjoy exceptional views.

Day 3
Sognefjord boat ride and train ride through Aurlandsdalen Valley

Today is the day you take a boat trip through Sognefjord, the deepest fjord in the world! You'll travel up this incredible fjord from Bergen to Flåm. Your group will then explore the spectacular Aurlandsdalen Valley via a short journey on the Flåmsbana railway line, the steepest railway in the world. Next, you'll embark on a 45-minute journey on the Bergen Express to Finse, a small village at 4,009 feet above sea level. This rural settlement has no roads and is only accessible by foot, bike, or train.
This evening you'll have the chance to stay in a comfortable shelter managed by the DNT, the Norwegian Trekking Association. This unique experience draws the traveler into the heart of Norwegian culture and emphasizes the strong link between Norwegians and nature.

Day 4
Hardanger Glacier

Today is devoted to Hardanger Glacier and glacial landscapes full of lakes and streams. In order to fully comprehend this incredible nature and the edge-of-the-world atmosphere, your group will spend a second night in a DNT mountain refuge, this time at the foot of Hardangerjøkulen, the Hardanger Glacier.

Bergen Railway to Oslo

Day 6
Oslo and optional visit to Oslomarka

Today you have the full day free to explore the Norwegian capital of Oslo, which sits spread out over many islands and scattered across Oslofjord. As in Bergen, the Oslo Pass (25 €) enables you to enjoy all of the cultural and festive attractions of the city as well as free transportation. From the Munich, Popular Culture, Fram and Kon-tiki museums to Vigeland Park and Oslo Marka, there is no shortage of interesting things to discover.
For those who wish to enjoy a final day in nature rather than in Oslo, your guide invites you to go hiking in Oslomarka. A walk in the majestic natural area which surrounds Oslo can be a perfect way to end your stay.

Day 7
Train journey to the charming town of Trondheim

The morning is free for you to explore Oslo one last time and possibly buy some souvenirs, before you head out on your cross-country train journey.
By early afternoon you'll board the train and head north, making your way to the Lofoten Islands in two stages. Along the way you'll have a good opportunity to see the varied landscapes and vastness of the country.The first part of your train journey will be carried out this afternoon, crossing the bucolic Norwegian countryside, to the charming town of Trondheim where you'll stop for the night.

Day 8
Trondheim tour and night train to the Lofoten Islands

Today you have a full day to explore Trondheim, one of the prettiest cities in Norway.The third most populous city in Norway, Trondheim sits on the water of the Trondheim Fjord and has a charming port, surrounded by small colorful stalls. The city center is full of cobblestone streets and bridges used to cross the many rivers throughout the city.
In the evening, enjoy dinner at a local restaurant and discover why Trondheim is recognized for its culinary culture. After dinner, you'll board the train once again and spend the night in your comfortable cabin berth as you cross the polar circle.

Day 9
Villages of Å and Reine

Today you'll arrive in Reine. Known as the 'Venice of the Lofoten Islands,' Reine is a charming village with traditional rorbus on stilts. Be sure to take advantage of the opportunity to capture some beautiful shots of the splendid Queenfjord.
The village of Å is situated at the end of this road. Here, you can make a quick visit to the local cod museum (optional, 5 euros). Further south, the island is accessible only by boat as the terrain is mountainous. Leaving the village, you'll head towards the seaside for a nice hike around Lake Å. The day concludes with a visit to this small fishing village before taking the ferry back to the mainland for dinner in Bodø.

Day 10
Hike to Kvalvika Beach

Today you'll leave for a hike in the moor to the heights of the small village of Fredvang. An easy ascent brings you to the summit of Torsfjordtinden, from where you'll have a breathtaking view of the famous Kvalvika Beach. The hike to this beach is arguably the most popular hike of the Lofoten Islands. The landscape of the beach, the color of the water, and the black granite cliffs that surround it are moving in their beauty. If you feel like it, you can go down to the beach to feel the fine sand under your feet or enjoy an invigorating swim in the ocean! Afterward, return to the village of Fredvang for the night.

Day 11
Viking Museum and Nusfjord

Today, you'll visit the Viking Museum of Borg, a reconstruction of the lodge of a Viking chief who reigned in Lofoten around 950 AD. Enjoy a guided tour (optional), and discover the way of life of these legendary people. In the afternoon, you'll hike along the seaside of Norway, along the coast that connects Aukland to Uttakleiv. The beaches here might make you forget that you're in the Arctic and you may even want to go for a swim!
At the end of the day you'll stop by the village of Nusfjord to discover the traditional houses, fishermen's huts strategically installed on the port. You'll then settle for two nights in Southern Lofoten.

Day 12
Vesterålen and the Lofoten Islands

Today you'll continue crossing the Vesterålen by road and by sea, taking the Kaiser route between fjords and mountains. Make a stop at Sortland, the cradle of Norwegian salmon farming. As an option, you can visit an aquaculture farm, which will allow you to learn about salmon production in Norway. At the end of the day, you'll enter the mythical Lofoten Islands and settle into your accommodation for the night in Svolvaer in Lofoten.

Day 13
Hike in Andenes

Today you have an optional visit to the cetacean center and a day trip out to the sea with biologists (an additional 100 euros). This is a special opportunity to observe, with a very great likelihood of success, the famous humpback whales, sperm whales, pilot whales, minke whales, orcas, and dolphins that are found in this part of the Norwegian Sea. Today, get ready for an unforgettable and magical day.
Finish the day with a beautiful hike to the heights of Bleik. Its sandy beach gives you a beautiful glimpse of the wild nature of the Vesteralen Islands. You'll spend the night in Andenes.

Day 14
Hike in Senja Island and Tromsø

Today you'll travel by ferry to the island of Senja, cut by fjords in the north and hilly by the peat bogs to the south, this island is a real wilderness gem and is well preserved. Enjoy a hike to the heights of Hamn to enjoy a bird's eye view of these fjords and the chain of islets that make up the archipelago.
Afterwards, you'll drive to Tromsø, arriving in the early afternoon. Located at over 69 ° North, Tromsø is one of the northernmost cities in the world and is nestled amongst mountains and forests and surrounded by fjords and glaciers. Depending on your arrival time, you can discover some great museums such as the Polar Museum, the Polaria Center and it's Arctic Aquarium, and a magnificent cathedral where concerts are held daily.

Departure from Tromsø
