This trip is well planned, somewhat ambitious, and expertly led. We were a group of 10 total, an ideal size. The guides make it a primo experience. The leader, Igor, is a hoot. He is a world-class extreme athlete, but also knowledgeable, passionate, patient, and funny. His assistant Luka, a former ice hockey professional, was a great help. He is the quieter one, but so talented, nice, and also patient. Their English was impeccable - no issues there. Of the activities, the first one, off the beautiful island of Sipan, was the ocean kayaking. This was probably the most strenuous, but beautiful, with calm, clear waters, and a couple of swimming and snorkeling opportunities. The river rafting on very navigable rapids was a highlight, and the river kayaking, also over some rapids and even waterfalls, spectacular. The trail biking to the beautiful Krka National Park was the most challenging for my wife, but everyone else enjoyed. The park was worth the effort though. And the last day in the magnificent Plitvice Lakes park, with about 6 miles of mildly strenuous hiking, was breathtaking. Maybe the most beautiful park we've been to in the world, and that includes many of the U.S. standards. This is not billed as a luxury trip, so we were not disappointed with anything. We all had a fantastic experience - highly recommended! — A.Z.
The best trip ever! Beautiful country and the guides were fantastic - very knowledgeable, helpful, considerate, always smiling, and nothing was too much trouble. A great balance of activities which could be adapted to personal abilities. The places on this trip were amazing, could not have asked for anything more. A huge thanks to the guides, who are outstanding. — Lynn G.
After spending a few days in the crowds of Dubrovnik, this tour was a great way to escape the crowds and see the "real" Croatia in a fun and active way. We stayed in charming villages and guest houses that I never would have found myself. The activities were fun and had great scenery, but were generally not too strenuous. I thought I would enjoy the coast / sea activities much more, but ended up liking the interior of Croatia and the river activities better. There was also a good mix of activities (hiking, kayaking, rafting, cycling) and time for sightseeing and relaxing. The guides, Marko and Viktor, were excellent. Marko was the Croatian national champion in kayaking, so we were very well taken care of in the paddling activities. Viktor provides a lot of interesting history about Croatia on the van rides. I highly recommend doing this tour. — C.L.
